Humble Beginnings

L’Exquisite Day Spa was founded by Shanette Seipt. She started her business in 1984, renting space from Beauty Salons in the heart of downtown Oakville.

Be a Perfect “10” has been Shanette’s key phrase from the beginning.

Through struggles and set-backs, recessions and everyday challenges, Shanette relied on her strength and passion to guide her to success.

For the first five years, she built a loyal customer base offering only artificial nail services. Many of her loyal clients from way back still come regularly today to get pampered in her spa.

Onward and Upward – more and more Education

While performing works of art on people’s hands by day, Shanette expanded her knowledge and expertise by attending courses at night.

After obtaining various certificates and diplomas at Sheridan College and other private schools, Shanette’s profile grew to include esthetics, skin care, make-up artistry and micro-pigmentation.

Soon her clients, who were already having their nails done, were asking for waxing, pedicures, facials and permanent makeup too.

Freestanding Spa

L’Exquisite Esthetics & Nails had its Grand Opening as a free-standing spa on Valentine’s Day, 1997, in Oakville, near the famous Glen Abbey Golf Course.

In 2005 L’Exquisite expanded once again, doubling in space and relocating to the main floor in the Nottinghill Gate Plaza. The new L’Exquisite Day Spa for Women & Men opened its doors in November 2005.

On Valentine’s Day 2013 Shanette celebrated her 16th anniversary in her own space and 29th anniversary as the woman who built a successful Day Spa from the ground up.

L’Exquisite Day Spa has become a medical spa and wellness centre, specializing in facial rejuvenation and anti-aging treatments.

Shanette was a pioneer on the internet by publishing her first eBook and online store in 2004. To add to her list of accomplishments, Shanette won the platinum award for best esthetician five years in a row and was nominated for Oakville’s Entrepreneur of the year in 2009.

A great achievement happened. In 2019 Shanette Seipt was nominated for and became Oakville’s Small Business Person of the Year 2018.

Shanette started as a single mom with a dream and has morphed into a business-savvy entrepreneur with an ever-expanding profile that never ceases to amaze her followers.

On Valentines Day 2014 L’Exquisite has celebrated 30 years in Business. Since then she has built a very beautiful, professional spa at home where her clients love the cozy atmosphere and complete privacy.
