Injectable fillers
The newest dermal fillers are Esthelis and Fortelis.
From all fillers on the market, Dr. Dunca has decided to offer a new and unique double-cross linked hyaluronic acid, of non-animal origin, made in Switzerland by Anteis (anteis.com). It's been used in Europe since 2005.
One of the key properties of Esthelis and Fortelis compared to other hyaluronic fillers on the market is that it can be injected very superficially with Esthelis soft, which allows the doctor to treat even the finest wrinkles of your skin. Another great advantage is that the products last for about one year which is better than many other comparable hyaluronic fillers.
JUVÉDERM® injectable filler is a gel made of hyaluronic acid which is a substance that occurs naturally in our skin. It's the hyaluronic acid that causes our skin to look young, plump and hydrated. As we age we have less and less of it and wrinkles and folds appear.
JUVÉDERM® hyaluronic acid injections are used to plump up the wrinkles and folds such as smile lines and nasolabial folds which are the creases that run from the nose down to the corners of the mouth. This hyaluronic acid gel provides a smooth, beautiful and natural look. Better than Botox? Some people ask. The two are diffferent and for some people a combinaton of the two will give the most dramatic, lasting results.
In fact, JUVÉDERM® is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid injectable dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective even for persons of color and all ethnic backgrounds. Dermal fillers for men are often preferred over male cosmetic surgery.
Benefits Hyaluronic Acid
The whole injection process takes very little time and the results are visible immediately. There's not a lot of recovery time which makes it easy for you to carry on with your life shortly after. We use JUVÉDERM® to inject into the mid to deep dermis for correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles. With juvederm bruising is not a big problem or concern.
Another benefit of this injectable filler is that the majority of patients do not require touch-ups following their initial treatment. The smooth consistency also helps to minimize the discomfort that can occur sometime during the injection procedure.
Our nurse at L'Exquisite Day Spa is an experienced injector. She will determine which wrinkle filler is best for you.
Juvederm vs hyaluronic acid Restylane injections
Both are almost the same except that Juvederm is more concentrated than Restylane. Each facial filler lasts about six to eight months and are safe for use in the entire face. Keep in mind, there are unique characteristics, particles or molecules to each type of filler which is why the injector may choose one over the other just to make sure you get what's best for you. You will experience some tenderness, swelling and redness of the skin immediately following the injections, no matter which filler is used, but it will go away quickly. Neither product has common allergies and no allergy test is required.
There are many different names known as facial filler or dermal fillers.
Some of them have been around for a long time, but there are always new studies and improvements as time goes on. You may be familiar with some of these: radiesse, restalyne, perlane, artefill or artecoll.

The beauty of hyaluronic acid fillers is the fact that they are highly biocompatible.
They get absorbed slowly and get completely broken down in the skin over a period of six to 12 months, leaving no trace of the cosmetic fillers hyaluronic acid behind.
Hyaluronic acid preserves the moisture in the skin and boosts skin tone. The quantity of hyaluronic acid in our skin, (the dermis) decreases with as we age. As a result the skin becomes dehydrated and fragile and lines and wrinkles start to appear. The tissues sag more and more with aging and the face becomes hollow.
Teosyal can be injected into the entire face, neckline, neck and hands without any pre-testing and gives patients immediate and long lasting results.
Optimal safety
Due to the latest technological advances combined with the manufacturing process, the hyaluronic acid contained in TEOSYAL® gels is extremely pure. This is why people experience exceptional tolerance and perfect integration into the tissues of the skin.
Teosyal has a long-lasting effect that improves over time
Depending on your age and the structure of your face, you may need 1 to 3 sessions at first in order to achieve the desired result. TEOSYAL® has a cumulative effect.
Teosyal's generic name is called non animal stabilized hyaluronic acid. It is manufactured in Switzerland.
For your convenience, we have a plastic surgery magazine at the spa.
How much do dermal fillers cost?
It depends on the type of filler and how much of it you need, but the average cost per hyaluronic acid syringe is between $500 and $650. They are some of the safest, longest acting dermal fillers. Some people may charge less, but they may be watering down dermal fillers. Keep in mind that cosmetic surgery prices are much higher.
