Botox® & Cosmetic Fillers will give you the results you are looking for.
Many people opt to have non-invasive cosmetic treatments to get some of the most rewarding results depending on the choices you make to enhance your self image and sense of well being. When you make your decision to undergo a cosmetic procedure, you are putting your trust and confidence in a particular person's professional skills and experience.
"It's really health care for your skin"
When life is full of work and deadlines, meetings, driving the kids to their sports activities and lessons it's a lot to juggle and the stress starts to show in your face. With tension and repetition, the facial muscles tend to fall into a certain pattern. Frown lines become visible and now the question is: what can you do?
Now you look at yourself in the mirror and think "I like my face, but I wish I looked the way I did five or 10 years ago"
The combination of Botox® and injectable fillers can give you the results you are looking for.
Why Do We Get Lines And Wrinkles?
Young skin has plenty of collagen which gives the skin elasticity and moisture and it keeps the skin resilient to the our facial expressions. However, as we age, we have less and less collagen and the skin starts to lose its tone. Every smile, frown and squint puts stress on the collagen in your skin and facial lines start to show.
Wrinkle removal with Botox®
You will look young again without a surgical treatment and without any scars. This cosmetic product consists of bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It is used for treatment of wrinkles on the forehead, the root of the nose, the outer corners of eyes and sometimes for the reduction of wrinkles on the neck. The results last for 3 months or so after which the application can be repeated.
Botox® can relax the muscles and fillers can fill in the wrinkles. The result? Your face looks a lot smoother than before. What could be easier than that? Many men choose it before undergoing male cosmetic surgery.
Some common questions about Botox® and dermal fillers
Who can provide BOTOX® and dermal filler treatments?
ANY authorized healthcare professional.
At L'Exquisite Day Spa we have a nurse who is a very experienced injector.
Do the results vary from one doctor, nurse or injector?
Yes. It is best to choose someone who is well trained and whose focus is on facial aesthetics with detailed knowledge of facial anatomy. It's always best to go to someone who has a lot of experience injecting BOTOX® and fillers.
How does Botox work?
Botax is used to relax specific muscles and reduce wrinkles. As these muscles relax, the skin that covers them becomes smoother and less wrinkled. The nurse will ask you questions to find out what results you are looking for. She will discuss options with you and will then determine the location, size, and use of the muscles that create that furrowed brow which varies greatly from person to person. Then she'll put several tiny injections of BOTOX® directly into the muscles that cause those frown lines between the brows. There's no need for anesthesia. Discomfort is usually minimal and brief. The beauty of BOTOX injection is the simplicity of it all and the fact that there's no downtime. The whole procedure will take about 10 - 20 minutes.
Does Botox work on all lines, wrinkles and skin folds?
Not all wrinkles are caused by the same muscles. Deep creases and folds can be caused by sun damage, natural aging or by smoking. Many of these deeper lines and wrinkles can be dramatically improved by a combination therapy which includes Botex and a filler like the ones we mention further down on this page.
When will I see results?
You will see improvements within days. Maximum muscle relaxation is reached within two weeks.
How long does Botox last?
It will last 3 to 4 months.
Does a treatment hurt?
Botox injections are very gentle. There's no need for sedation or local anesthetic.
What if I don't want to continue with Botox?
If you discontinue the injections, the lines, folds and wrinkles will gradually go back to the way they were before the treatment, and botox wears off gradually.
The day of your appointment.
Allow time before your appointment for filling out forms and to consult with our nurse. You will also be asked about your expectations for treatment and if you have any allergies or any condition that wouldn't make you a good candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic.
What should I do after my Botox treatment?
Do not rub the areas where Botox was injected for at least two hours and don't lie down for three to four hours. We recommend this to reduce the chance that the Botox will spread to other areas, which we don not want to relax. This is unlikely, but just in case, if it happens, it would only be a temporary problem that would resolve in a few weeks.
There is less than a 1% chance of anyone getting a slightly drooping eyelid. It is usually not noticeable, but even when it is, it will usually be ok in a week or two.
Botox Side Effects
Currently, no long-term side effects, allergic reactions or health hazards related to Botox have been reported.
What is botox used for?
There are botox injections for pain, botox injections for wrinkles, botox injections for the neck area, botox for sweating or botox for underarm sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis or hyperhydrosis treatment.
Who should NOT have Botox?
We do not treat pregnant women, women who are breast feeding, or those who are allergic to albumin. We ask you to complete a medical history prior to your treatment.
Cost of Botox injections
$10 per unit. You can compare this unit to a gallon of gas. You will need more than one unit.
