What is microdermabrasion?

I hope you are healthy and well and enjoy the winter we're having.
If you live on the other side of the world, enjoy the season.
We have some very, very cold days here.

Time flies, it's hard to believe it's already February.
Valentine's Day is L'Exquisite's anniversary. 8 years at that location. Wow!
Even I find it hard to believe.
In April is the next anniversery - 21 years in the beauty business!
WOW!

Soooooooo...

Today I want to help you prepare for a Happy Valentine's Day!

Take some time for yourself or with a special someone to relax, be pampered
and treat your skin well.

For many people nowadays, fitting in a facial is an important part of their regular skincare routine.
The hottest new trends are microdermabrasion treatments.

What is microdermabrasion?

Dermabarasion was developed in Italy by physicians Marini and Lou Brutto.
The rejuvenation effects were so stunning that a refined version of the technique was developed
into what we know today as microdermabrasion.

Microdermabrasion is also called partial skin exfoliation because it removes the top layer of the skin.
It helps to erase superficial lines and wrinkles, acne, scarring, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, to
unclog pores and help stretch marks.

Professional microdermabrasion treatments are done in spas, aesthetics salons or doctors offices.
It is best defined as a removal of the top layer of the skin on the face or on the body which can
be done manually or mechanically.

The corundum crystals are usually made of aluminum oxide. However aluminum has been implicated
as a cause of Alzheimer's Disease. For this reason the microdermabrasion crystals used at L'Exquisite
are micro magnesium oxide crystals formulated by a plastic surgeon.
The treatment is safe and gentle and the results are very good.
The skin may be red for a short period of time afterwards, but there's no recovery time or healing needed afterwards.
The number of treatments required can range from 6 - 10 due to the fact that microdermabrasion exfoliates
only a thin layer of the skin. It also depends what shape your skin is in and what combination of treatments
your skin can tolerate. Of course you can try just one to try it out.

Escape to a whole new world of soft, smooth, healthy, glowing skin.

Till next time, happiness your way and
Happy Valentine's Day!
